Spotting at 13 weeks? (maybe a little TMI)

OK so this morning I was up to pee several times but had no burning, no urgency, etc. We were out running errands and I felt like I needed to go #2 but we were out where there were no bathrooms... so I held it for 10-15 minutes until I found a restroom. I went there and went both #1 and #2, a little straining, but nothing unusual... but when I went to wipe it was red on the TP, and then pink the second time I wiped. I got nervous, so DH and I came right home.
I called my OB's office (they have 2). Office #1 had their routine "leave a message" answering service, so I did. Office #2 said "press 03 to speak with an on-call physician" but when I pushed 03 it said, "Sorry that is not a recognized extension." Urgh!
I waited it out, to see if maybe it could be a UTI sign... I've had no spotting since on a pantiliner, and after going pee just now I had no more spotting of any color. I'll definitely call the doc tomorrow and get in if she thinks it is warranted... And if it reappears, I'll go to Urgent Care (which is opened until 5pm).
In the meantime, I think I'm just looking for assurance or something. I'm wondering if straining just irritated my cervix? I never had spotting of any color with DD, so I'm a bit freaked out!

Your blood flow in your lower region is much more while you are pregnant and you are probably a little constipated. It happens to many of us when we have a bowel movement. Try to take some Colace everyday and hopefully this will help.

I had spotting at 12 weeks and it was quite a bit. We freaked out and went into get a U/S right away. It turns out everything was MORE than fine.. we were expecting TWINS!
I'm sure it will be okay. Do call again until someone listens to you. Stress won't make anything better.
Thanks everyone. After this morning, I haven't had any other signs of spotting or blood... but I am wondering if I'm getting a UTI. I'm definitely going to insist on being seen tomorrow.
