Complain About Your Family Here!

So we're pregnant, and a lot of us are cranky and sensitive...but that doesn't mean that what we're being cranky and sensitive about isn't totally reasonable, especially when it comes to nosy, bothersome, or otherwise ignorant family members! 

Rant here, my dear ladies! You know you want to!

My complaints right now:

- My mother is being a brat whenever I mention how tired I am. She was only pregnant once, and it was over 26 years ago, so I don't trust her to remember how it was, especially since she's the exact opposite of sympathetic. She keeps tormenting me to exercise more so that I don't get fat, and to buck up and take care of my house, no matter how exhausted I am. I am seriously considering strangling her.

- My mother and MIL are both being really annoying about the "who-takes-care-of-the-baby-when-you-return-to-work" issue. The problem is, they both come from times when 'Nanny' didn't work, and thus looked after all the little ones in the family. That time has long past. Both my parents and his work full-time jobs, as well as the rest of our older family members. As such, our only option is daycare, and while we're resigned to that, our mothers are not. They think it's weird and frightening and awful. My mother went so far as to suggest that I take a year off work AFTER my parental leave...um, in polite circles that would be referred to as quiting. And I have a really good job that I can't afford to quit. Not to mention the fact that if I took non-paid leave for that long, our house would probably get repossessed, because we NEED two paychecks to cover our bills. Mom and MIL do NOT seem to get this. *sigh*

You gals?

    OK so my rant is about my BIL's wife, and I don't call her SIL b/c she doesn't do anything deserving of a title even if it is SIL ok well maybe         B1Tch!!! DH my two DS's and I drove 2 hrs to celebrate MIL and FIL 40th anneversary, my DH's sister (she is great) moved in the morning and had asked the B#tch to get me to help with things. Yesterday I spoke to SIL and she asked if the B had called to ask for help, I told her nope haven't heard a word. So I decided tp call 2 hrs before ppl were to come and she says oh well can you make a dessert???? I bit my tongue and said well it's too late to make something but I will buy an ice cream cake. (I am allergic to eggs) So then I could at least have some cake. So $40 later lugging around a 2 and 4yr old dying in the heat I got the cake. So we had to leave at 5pm for hubby's work everyone knew it and I told the B on the phone. So at 3pm everyone is there no one has eaten b/c it was supposed to be a mid afternoon thing. But hey where is the B she has all the food b/c she didn't want help! Heaven forbid someone else get the credit!! So BIL calls her ans she says Oh I am on my way........Fast forward to 4pm when she sows up and begins making the salads which she told me were already made!!! Hubby got almost as pissed off as me and went and bought subway for us and the boys.....GRRRRRR she is such an ignorant "B"

    Your absolutly right....I shouldn't be pissed that I drove 2 hrs with 2 toddlers to not feed them with the family at a family function.......Indifferent With family like that who needs enemies!!!

    Yeah, and too bad my mil is in the hospital dying and won't get to meet her 1st grandchild. I'm just sensitive about this crap right now. I'd just rather have her alive and have something to complain about. My apologies. I'm sorry your kids went hungry.
