What are you buying this time around?
I'm making a shopping list right now to start buying things slowly. We are probably going to find out the gender in 6 weeks.
Anyone already have a list made? I'd love to see yours for comparison and ideas. This is what I have down so far:
crib
mattress
2-3 sheets
bed skirt
bumper (possibly use DDs)
soft baby blanket
warm carseat cover
Diaper bag (actually a big purse would do the trick)
Diapers (1-2 packs of size 1, and then 1 box of Kirkland Size 1-2)
Costco box of wipes
Washcloths (2 packs)
Lansinoh breastpads
pacifiers (2 packs)
2 nursing bras
bibs
nursing shirts

Re: Second time moms... Whats on your shopping list?
I probably haven't thought it through as much as I could, but here is what I have so far:
New swaddlers
Pacis
Bottles (threw all of DS's out)
New bouncer
A few outfits
Diapers
I think that is about it. We really don't need very much this time. I may get a few duplicates of stuff we already have, but I don't have that on the list since they are things I don't really need.
On our list is: crib, dresser, bedding, Swaddlers, double stroller, pacis, bottle nipples, depending on gender will determine what else we need. We have so much stuff from DD but if it is a boy, I obviously want blue blankets, boy clothing, bibs that aren't pink
We are also getting DD a convertible carseat (she will probably still be in infant seat until #2 comes) and a double stroller.
Crib/mattress
Bedding
double stroller
bundle me for the carseat
maybe towels/washcloths
maybe a 2nd glider
I really don't think there will be too many more needs. We may get a new high chair because we hate the one we have, but that isn't a necessity and we'll definitely wait for a sale to do that.
We're moving my DD into a room with a completely different set of furniture and leaving all the nursery stuff for the baby.
-another video monitor
-new bottles (threw the old ones out cause they looked awful)
-If boy: new bibs, a few blankets, boppy cover?, crib sheets, comforter, decorative items for the nursery
-washcloths, towels
-FP Newborn Rock N Play Sleeper (I'm not putting my enormous PNP in my bedroom again)
-FP Booster Seat (we don't use high chairs)
-Bundleme type carseat cover
-BFing freezer storage containers, nursing bras
-double stroller. I'm going to try to find a 2nd hand one
-baby book!
I told DH when we got pregnant with #2 that I wanted a good double stroller and a good baby carrier. We just got our Phil & Teds double and I plan to get an Ergo.
Other little things like new pacis and bottles, new burp cloths (since most of them are stained or got put to use as cleaning rags...whoops!), I'll have to inventory white onesies, we may need more of those. I also want better swaddling blankets if this next one likes to be swaddled so I plan on investing in a couple miracle blankets should that be the case.
We also need new clothes. DD #1 was born in late May so most of her NB and 0-3 month stuff is for warmer weather. DD #2 will be born just before Halloween so it'll already be pretty cold and likely snowing up here and I don't have much winter gear/clothes in those smaller sizes.
I'm sure there is more that I'm just not thinking of.
We find out a week if it will be a boy or girl...soo, it really depends.
If it's a girl, clothes, a few girly blankets, double stroller, new pacis, new nipples for the bottles and dr brown inserts.
we aren't sure if ds will be moving to a big boy bed before 2nd needs a crib, so depending on this a crib, and new sheets.

Not much really.
Bedding-got gently used off ebay
Making curtains, wall decor and barrett holder.
Clothes- yes it is fun shopping for a little girl!
New nipples for bottles
Breast pads-reusable ones
Cloth diapers-already purchased
Paint to repaint room
Nursing bras-already purchased/were given to me by friends
Breastmilk storage bags
I broke down and bought an ERGO too!
Nothing else until we see if we receive any gifts. I don't need a gazillion blankets and towels like before.
we are planning on CDing which we didn't do with DD. So all the supplies for that.
pacifiers
ETA: Moby and/or ring sling
nothing else really.
other things that I don't think were already mentioned above:
Burp cloths
itzbeen
new clippers, hair brush, etc.
stocking up on diapers and wipes little by little
This time round....
A bassinet for our bedroom
A new cribmattress
New carseat/stroller combo
Diaper Bag
Bedding
Bottles
Change table
Hooded Baby Towels
Clothes (once we find out the sex!)
Diapers
There is probably more but we do have alot of stuff in storage from when dd was a baby....gotta see what may need replaced.
We are having another boy, so there is very little we needed. We bought:
a new infant carseat
a Moby wrap
washcoths
new, BPA-free bottles
stuff for nursing: breast pads, lanolin, storage bags, nursing tanks
diapers/wipes
changing pad covers (old ones were stained, yuck)
and the rest was for DS1's "big boy" room.
May 2011 Siggy Challenge

I have a lot of maybe items but not a lot of must haves other than the obvious like diapers and wipes. But here's what I'm thinking about and if/when I find deals I'll scoop them up:
good quality double stroller (possibly P&T's)
possibly a new infant carseat (want a bigger one this time)
a new video monitor- ours is shot
a nap nanny- this thing looks perfect but I may wait to see if LO has reflux
new Britax roundabout (not a 50- a want the smaller one- just waiting for a deal)
new crib bedding
new bottles (maybe- our old Avents had BPA but the Playtex drop ins are good)
new crib (maybe)
if it's a girl- oh holy hell- my mom and MIL are going to spend a fortune clothing her so I'm not too worried about that :-)
This will be our third, so we need very little.
Pacifiers
Bottles (only a few - I'll nurse)
Whatever we choose to decorate the room with. . .
maybe some clothes
Yarn to knit a gorgeous coming-home outfit.
That's it.
