Make sure you use a lot of cooking spray. If you buy box mix you'll need 2 boxes. I always filled mine almost to the top and cut it level when it cooled off. It takes about 45 minutes to bake.
The candy liner is pretty easy if you interested in making one.
I also used Wilton's Cake Release instead of cooking spray and it worked great.
I had to bake the bottom for 15 minutes before I put the batter in the top to bake. Some people don't have to but I did so just a head's up in case you have issues.
Use lots and lots of cooking spray and I think I used flour too. And then before you put it together - I would cut off the top to level it out. I didn't do that once and it was impossible to decorate because it kept slipping and sliding.
Re: Anyone have the giant cupcake pan?

I used this site for the candy shell: https://ohsugarcakes.blogspot.com/2009/03/candy-liner-for-giant-cupcake.html
