Your Wedding Dress

If you were getting married now, would you choose the same dress you chose when you did get married.  I was only married 3 years ago.  I have watched so many episodes of Say Yes to the Dress and Four Weddings recently though that I think I would have a change of heart.  I loved my dress but it was very simple.  I think I would be more extravagant if I could do it again.

  • No, I loved my dress and would probably pick something like that again. But I did have second thoughts after I bought it and kept trying others on just for fun. Not a good thing to do, lol!

  • Maybe.  I found it to be a touch too shiny.  It was supposed to be matte fabric but it still had a touch of shine to it.

Small nit though, overall, I still liked it.

  • Now my first wedding dress, I look at pics now and think holy heck that's dated!

  • Yes, it was almost 5 years ago now.  My dress was white with pink accent beading (you could only see the pink if you were up close).  But now that I have different tastes, I would probably get an ivory dress to go with my skin tone.

  • I would get a different one because my dress was made to be maternity. If I was pregnant though, I loved my dress and would wear it again!

I got married almost 7 years ago and I'd still pick my dress I think. I love it. It's a classic strapless, a-line gown.

  • I hate to say it, but yes I would get a different dress.  I loved my dress at the time, but I was a few dress sizes bigger then and I would probably get something different now that I am shaped differently.  That and I watch too much Say Yes to the Dress.
  • i loved it at the time! it was the 2nd dress i tried on and it felt like "the one." that said, seeing different styles of dresses, i kind of wish i would've had a different one, but i was really happy with my dress, so i would say no.
  • I loved my dress!  If I were going to do it again, I would probably try on more dresses than I did, but I think I'd still end up with my dress.

  • I would absolutely choose the same dress.

I actually picked my dress out in Nov '08, and 2 months ago, I tried it on again (two weeks before my wedding, haha!) and I fell right back in love with it.

I couldn't find a plus-size dress that wasn't a poofy, rouched A-line prom dress (I hate hate HATE that style, but it seems like every designer on earth thinks it's the only thing that plus-size women can wear) and when I found one that wasn't, it was the one! Big Smile Empire-waist, lacy/floral sheath silhouette from David's Bridal. Beautiful.
