So Mad! I've been violated!

Some jerk(s) riffled through my van last night and scattered everything all over the car and yard and my wallet was in there! But they only took a few dollars and my gum. They left my credit cards and iPod! I'm still mad they took a few dollars!!!!! I don't know how much was in there, couldn't have been much since I don't carry much but I don't have a few dollars to spare on some crackhead!!!!!

I usually never leave my wallet in the car but we went to the beach yesterday and after paying for parking, I put the wallet in the glovebox and then forgot it there.

And when DH unpacked the car, he forgot to lock it! Somehow he always remembers to lock HIS precious car! It's not his fault tho.

We thought someone had tried to break into his car a couple months ago because there was a bent up coat hanger next to his car, like a failed attempt.

    Ugh, how awful!  I would still cancel my credit cards (or get new ones made) because they could have written down the numbers. Good luck, and I'm sorry this happened!

    This happened to us a few months ago.  They came right up in our carport!  I still feel violated and am nervous being home alone at night.  That is the worst part, that it makes you feel unsafe in your own home.

    Yes it does make you feel unsafe! We even have security lights and Brinks signs everywhere!

    Yes I am so lucky they didn't take more. Still mad about my few bucks, tho LOL!

    Near Rt 8

    It's not the BEST neighborhood but not a bad one either. Even my mom's neighborhood, who lives in one of the nicest in Dover has had break ins. It's just sucky.

    The cops came and said we weren't the only ones to get cars broken into recently.

    That sucks but you're very lucky. Mine got broken into(window shattered) 2 years ago & took my purse that had both of r phones iPod & everything else you Can imagine.

    People often travel to nicer neighborhoods to do stuff like this.  People get complacent and don't lock their doors and leave nice stuff in them.   It can happen anywhere.

    We looked at places back there. It seemed like a decent neighborhood. Ours is super crappy. But thankfully we havn't had a break in yet. ::Knock on wood:: They did fill DH's gas tank in his car with dirt though.

    I'm glad they only took a few dollars from you. But still sucky :(
