WTH...unexplainable scratch

DS woke up with bad scratch across the side of his cheek. I put him to bed and don't remember scratching him (although I was wearing me e-ring which I don't normally wear around him) and I had planned on trimming his nails today but it's quite the gash for him to do to himself. I looked in his crib and changed his sheet just in case something weird got into his bed.

    those little nails are like razors.....C always gets himself pretty good if I don't trim his nails enough
