DS is six weeks old and nurses every two hours for about 20-30 minutes still. When he was first born, up until about 4 weeks, sessions were two hours apart, and lasted up to 60 minutes. How long do nursing sessions take for you?
Dunno if this helps any because my little guy is 11 days old but I too am nursing every 2 hours for up to 60 min sometimes more at a time. I hope you get some good advice
Drew nursed for 45-60 minutes at a time every 2.5 hours until he was almost 3 months old. Then he shortened up a bit (25-40 minutes) and spaced out to every 3 hours.
Now he still nurses every three hours or so during the day but only takes about 5-10 minutes. I really miss those longer nursing sessions actually. We could sit and cuddle and he was quiet and content. It was such a pleasant way to pass the time. Now it's chug chug and get me off your lap momma so I can cruise around the house.
Anywhere from 8-20 minutes every 1.5-2.5 hours (2-3 hours, sometimes more, at night). She also has what I think is reflux so she wants to comfort nurse when she's hurting and will stop eating when she's hurting too.
