Anything I can give DS for a cough?

Re: Anything I can give DS for a cough?

  • If m's cough is really bad & not in the lungs (you'd know), I give her dimetapp. You'd have to call the pedi & get the dosage for your lo's weight & age.

  • Vicks on the bottom of his feet, layered on thickly and covered with socks.  Works like a charm with DS (and for me, and with my 91 year old grandpa too!).
  • ditto vicks or baby vapo-rub.

    buckwheat honey

You can buy kid's natural cough treatment containing buckwheat honey at Walgreens or the grocery store.  I forget the brand name.

Stay at home mom to a house of boys: two amazing stepsons, 12 and 9, and our 4 year old.
  • Mix a teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice and have LO drink it. Lemon juice clears out any congestion, honey soothes the throat. Great advice from our pedi, works every time for DD. HTH!
