Babysitter/daycare recs in OP, please!

We use a sitter one day a week but have no back up when she is on vacation and maternity leave. I'd like to find a few sitters I can call in this instance.

We're also thinking of switching to a daycare and having him go 2 days a week so I would love recs for this too please. Can be in home or a center.

I have tried craigslist (too many creap-o's!) and checked out several church daycares (too expensive or won't take part time)

Thanks for your help!

Re: Babysitter/daycare recs in OP, please!

  • Most daycare centers do not take children under the age of 2 part time since there are so many other families on waiting lists. We used care.com to find a part time nanny and had great experience with that site. Within 24 hours of posting our ad we had several dozen responses from a variety of people. It was great being able to narrow them down and pick a few to interview we liked.

    Good luck with your search.

I actually work at Outreach Christian Early Learning Center in North Kansas City. We have 4 locations: Riverside, Plattewoods, NKC, and Buckner. I also babysit when needed for our daycare parents. You should give us a call. We do part time and we are looking to build our daycare!!! Online at https://www.outreacheducation.org/ Phone # 816-455-5575 (ask for Kathy -admin. or Natalie-director) My name is Bridgette- preschool teacher and afternoon supervisor. Kathy and Natalie will be able to discuss enrollment and prices. Hope this helps!!! Also email me about babysitting maybe we can work something out!!! susieann9109@aol.com.
