How many ounces is your LO eating?

I have been feeding my 2 month old 4 ounces every 3-4 hours.  I pump and give him 2 oz milk and 2 oz formula.  I am starting to wonder if I increased it to 5 or 6 ounces, would he go longer?  When did you start increasing ounces?

LO eats 3oz.. sometimes shell be hungry for another ounce but I let her tell me..sometimes I'll make 4oz and she stops exactly at three so I waste the rest..

  • I just moved her up to 3 1/2 ounces lol
  • That hasn't worked for us at all.  Anything over 4 oz and he just spits up - their stomachs are still tiny!

  • my LO eats 5 oz. every 3-4 hours.  we know to up it when the time between feedings gets shorter and shorter or if he doesn't seem satisfied after a feeding (ie-- still giving hunger cues, chewing on his hands, etc.).

DS is almost 7 weeks and he takes 3.5 oz every 2.5-3 hours. If your baby seems satisified than it's probably fine. Add a little more next feeding and see if LO will take it. If so than maybe you should bump it up.

  • DS is 5 weeks and hes eating 4 oz every 3-4 hours during the day and then the same amount 4-5 hours throughout the night.
