Babies: 0 - 3 Months

Clothes for long skinny babies?

If you have a long, skinny baby, what clothing brands work for you?  DD is in the 40% for weight and the 95% for height.  3 mo carters are huge on her waist (can't keep the pants up), but even the 6 mo things are a little short.  I'm tired of onesies and baby legs everyday, and that doesn't really work for going out.  Gap seems to work well, but I can't afford an entire gap wardrobe.

  • playschool onesies.  they are cheap and cheaply made but fit my long skinny pretty nicely.

  • we do a lot of onesies & baby legs.  i'm at the point where i think i'm going to buy onesie extenders.
  • Hanna Andersson is good for that-but you have to shop outlet stores cause it's muy caro $$$
  • The Old Navy stuff seems to run a little bit longer.  DS is long and still can wear the 0-3 stuff.

  • DS has always been in the 20% for his height and 75-80% for height.  For him the carters work the best.  For his pants Old Navy ones fit him the best and are fairly cheap.  They are still big in the waist, but I can't find anything else without spending a ton of money.

  • Sorry 20% for his weight.

  • Our little girl is long and skinny also.. Things are pretty big on her (around) but her cloth diapers hold the pants up! However I tend to roll the waist once and it helps.

She wears mostly Carters and Old Navy.

  • Carters seem to work well for us. We just moved her to the 3-6 month clothes (she is 3 months & 1 week) but we could tell the 3 month stuff was getting too short.

Her dad is tall and is so proud of her height always being in the 90%.

  • DS is also long and somewhat skinny.  During the day, if we arent going out, I keep him in pjs with feet (they help keep him warm too).  Otherwise he has all different kinds of outfits -- a lot of Carters, BabyGap. Sometimes he wears the NB size still, but he needs the 3 mo. size in pants to cover his long legs. His diaper and onesie help keep them up.
