Can other types of CM be super stretchy? (Maybe TMI)

I'm a newbie to the whole charting thing (haven't started temping, just monitoring mucus so far), and there is something I can't figure out.  I went back and reread the CM section of TCOYF, but couldn't get an answer.  I also googled, to no avail.

Can other types of CM besides EWCM be really stretchy?  I had some that stretched well over an inch this morning, but it wasn't clear, it was more of a cremey color.  It also wasn't super wet feeling.  I checked again just now and it was the same thing....stretchy, but not at all clear and not much of a wet sensation.  So basically I'm not sure if this is the fertile stuff I'm looking for or not.

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, I just don't want to get my hopes up over nothing.

    No, only EWCM is stretchy.  But it doesn't have to be clear.  Mine is often more cloudy.  You are looking for consistency rather than color.

    It isn't a stupid question.  My understanding is if it is REALLY stretchy - then it is EWCM.  EWCM isnt always clear, it can be tinted too.  But that is really confusing considering it isnt wet feeling.  Where are you at in your cycle?  What cycle day?  

    Other people on here know much more than I do of course. :)

    My thumb and finger were over an inch apart and it was still attached to both.   I would consider it to be really stretching, but I'm too new at this to be sure.

    Well, I do feel a little wet but not as much as I was expecting.  I'm on CD 11, but I just came off of BC so who knows what my body might be doing.

    In my expirence I can have sticky CM that stretches a little.   My EWCM is WAY stretchy, as in 3-4+ inches.  I took a picture of my CM the cycle I got pg with my son (for future reference) and it was stretched between my thumb, index and middle finger and I had them spread as far as I could. 

    Sounds like it's not EWCM just yet.  I would start drinking green tea and lots of water- my 1st cycle off the pill is always a lot "drier" than a normal cycle.

     I know I have had EWCM that is cloudy and clear. As far as I know of the clarity of the EWCM matters. I also know it its EWCM because of charting plus it is very stretchy and takes quite a few passes with toilet paper to pick it all up. I have never personally tried to stretch it between my fingers though so I can't help you with that but when I wipe it come out in globs and strings on the toilet paper.
