poop qestion

We switched our LO to exclusive FF about 2 weeks ago and are using Similac. Even since then she never poops at night, but then wakes up screaming in pain about 5-6am and does that for about 2-3 hours before she finally poops. I bicycle her legs, sit in a chair, lay her down, rock her, basically any position I can try, but nothing helps. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what to try next?

    She may be haing gas. Have you tried gas drops? I would also ask your periatrician. Formula is a lot harder for babies to digest than breast milk.

    my newborn is on similac as well.  she's been pooping after every eating, but since last night, since hasnt pooped since 1130.  would that be considered a gas issue as well?  she doesnt seem to be fussy

    DD only poops every other day and the pedi said this was fine....just her cycle. We switched to Similac Sensitive because of the gas issues and have been much better.

    DD did  the  same thing til we switched to the  similac sensetive and we haven't had any problems since .....try giving her some gas drops that made a big difference too.  Sophie gets them with every bottle.
