Went to the IL's neck of the woods to get the truck FIL gave DH (really me, it's in my name LOL). Left here at 11ish and just got home. ILs are only 1.5 hours away at most.
We spent 2.5 hours sitting around at FIL's house. Which, by the way, was hotter inside than it is outside today. And it's 86? today.
Then we drove to BIL's house (where the truck was) and I tickled my nephew while BIL helped DH get the license plate put on and showed him a couple things.
Then we left. We stopped to get gas about 10 minutes down the road and were in the parking lot for a good hour because BIL didn't tell DH that one of the battery connectors was bad. So DH had to use freaking pliers to change the connector (which should really be done with a socket set).
Then we drove home and DH said he about upchucked his cookies several times because the truck smells like stale biscuit and ass.
Did I mention there are swamp tires on the truck now? Like, literally. We could go swamping and be just fine.
But we're home. And DH now has a working vehicle.
Re: Well that was fun. (ETA PIP)
They are HUGE with HUGE treads and are superduper loud when driving on paved roads.
Do I need to go out and take a picture?
Yes, Mr.Bee. Mainly due to the lack of swamps.
We don't have swamps around here either.
Swamps are down close to the beach. And BIL wasn't at the beach in this truck. IDK WTF he needed swamp tires for.
They might not look all that big in the pictures, but the truck has a 4" lift kit too and I have to practically jump in head first and hope I don't hurt myself to get in. I added the pic of my sausage fingers so you could see how farking big the treads are.
You get out and push. That's the not so fun part.
See, now that would diminsh the over all enjoyment for me.
But then, I guess I'm kind of a city girl.
