Can I be a hypocrite for a minute?

I always tell my patients that I don't recommend OTC diet pills.  I confess, I was looking at them yesterday.  I know nothing is actually proven to work, but I couldn't help but think, maybe that would help me a little bit.  I'm having issues staying focused on WW again.

Have you used any of them?  Which ones?

(To clarify, I'm not lumping Alli in with these.  That one actually is FDA approved and shown to be effective.  I just afraid of the whole oily stool thing with that one if I slip and have a cookie.)

  • I wouldn't do it, Bubbly.

  • In college I tried Stacker but I didn't last long on it.

  • Ack!  Don't do it.  I will admit to once being tempted by the Anna Nichole Smith stuff in college.  I didn't try it.  I'm sure even if you do lose weight with those things, it will all come right back on once you stop.
  • I tried many in college and don't recall any actually working, just making me feel "tingly".
  • I took Metabolife in college - I passed out on the treadmill. Never, ever again.

  • I took Xenadrine in college (before they had ephedra free). OMG. I thought I was dying. My heart was racing, I was jittery (even had to leave in middle of class), it was awful. Never ever again.
