Epidural and back pain PP

Anyone have back pain that they didn't have before (that got an epidural)?

I am wondering if this goes away.  I am a tummy sleeper (always have been) and now wake up with terrible lower back pain!  My epi sucked and I swear they did something wrong b/c my left side was way more numb than my right side.

I feel like I'm pg again and can only sleep on my side with a pillow between my legs!

    this!
  • I have the same thing and my ob said I could have broken my tailbone during labor. He said its actually pretty common b/c it gets pushed down when the baby gets in the birth canal. He said he could send me for x rays but there is nothing you can do about it and it has to heal on its own. He said if it was from my epi it would be a higher pain. Not sure if this helps but hope you get relief soon!
  • I'm with ya!  Hope it doesn't last forever.

  • I have back pain when I wake up in the morning now. Sometimes it hurts so bad that I can't go back to sleep, so I end up getting up for the day at 4am. It honestly feels like I'm pregnant again, I hate it.

  • I only had it for about a week pp. My whole lower back hurt, but especially the site where the cathiter was. Sometimes with the epidural if you get more numbness on one side and they will have you lay on your other side to get the fluid traveling that way. At least that was kind of how they explained it to me. I think for the rest of my pains though I am going to go to the chiropractor to get all the kinks worked out, our bodies have gone through a lot with preparing for baby and then delivery.
