Olivia will be almost 16 months old when LO #2 arrives (assuming a full term LO). I am going to yard sales now and a mommy sale next weekend.
Aside from cribs and car seats (which I will only get new) what else would you think I'd need for #2 being so close in age to #1?
I'm going to look at high chairs and see if I can snag a double stroller, anything else you'd suggest?
Re: moms of 2+ gear question...
The only things we ended up buying were -
- Crib/dresser (DS is still in his crib and will move to a twin bed come end of June when he turns 2).
- Double stroller which I hardly use. I use the single more with DD and let DS walk BUT we also do have a mall or Target to take the LO's. We usually go to the local park where DS can run around.
- I'm in the process of find that *perfect* bag =/ I'm using a tote right now and it's horrible. I'm leaning towards a Go Gaga bag
Other than that, we did find out DD's sex (DS was a surprise) so I did buy girl stuff for her AND because this baby is an opposite season I will buy clothes for him/her too.
The only things we're going to get are:
- A twin bed for DS (preferably with drawers underneath, my ILs offered to give us DH's old twin size bed, so we may take them up on that offer until we decide to get bunk beds...unless we get a good deal on bunk beds now then we'll buy them and keep the top bed empty. My kids will share a room regardless of gender) the baby will use the crib
- A double stroller
- Eventually we'll need a 2nd car seat, but for the first 6 months or so the baby will be in the infant carrier that DS used so no need for the convertable one yet
- Clothes, if it's a girl!!
I nursed DD and plan to again. That said, I did need bottles from time to time.
I have been working on a wish list at Target so I don't forget stuff, or duplicate what I don't need.
So on my list so far are:
new bottles
new accesories for my breast pump
a swing (borrowing one probably)- DD hated hers and we sold it
crib and mattress
simple bedding. Like sheets and a bumper!
I guess clothes cause they will be opposite seasons, regardless of gender
That's all I have for now...
