Refusing Bottle

Trying to get her to take a bottle is hell. I work every weekend and it is horrible. We try at least one bottle a day and she totally refuses. She is EBF. We have tried different bottles, different times of day, same times of day, sleepy, awake, not hungry, hungry, etc. Has anybody worked through this? She just screams for my husband and takes in as little as one ounce per bottle feeding. Any suggestions would be great.

No suggestions from me, but I feel your pain!  My DD is EBF and I SAH, but we want her to take a bottle in case we want to go out or something...and so DH can participate in feeding her.  But she gets herself really worked up and screaming every time we try.  DH has tried and so has my mom.  We waited a long time to introduce it because she had a lot of nursing issues in the beginning and now I think we waited too long.

We EBF as well but Matthew gets a bottle a few times a week. We started this because if he for any reason I am not around he can still be fed BM. The only nipples he will take are the Gerber ones. He detested every other type of nipple out there. I ended up buying the bottles at wal-mart - under $3 for 3 bottles.

Check the nipple size cause in our case Gerber has the smallest hole
