Hello all new moms! Jumping over from July moms to be with a quick question.
DH and I are trying to figure out how many of each size diaper we will need to start off with. Im sure we have more than enough newborn size, LO weighs almost 5 lbs already so I can't imagine her being in them too long. But as far as size 1 and 2 we have around 300-350 of each size.
Do you think this is enough to get started?
TIA! ![]()

I wouldn't buy too many now unless you're willing to go and exchange them if the brand doesn't fit your LO. Huggies don't fit DD too well but Pampers are great for us.
DD is almost 8 pounds but I think she'll be in NB for a bit longer because her legs are so damn skinny.

It's definitely enough to get started, IMO. You can always run out to get some more if you need. Also, you might find that the brand of diapers you bought don't work for you and you may need to try another brand.
They told us DD was 6 lbs 12 oz at 37 weeks. My DD was born four weeks later and weighed 6 lbs 14 oz. Obviously, the weight estimate was quite off. DD is still in NB diapers now, and we had only one package of 80 when she came home. So far, we have gone through almost 4 packages of NB diapers and will probably buy at least one more before she grows out of them.
BTW, love your name choice
Our choice was partly in honor of Harper Lee.
I have had several people tell me that Harper is going to be the next popular name! At least we got ours in early before it got too trendy!
Thanks for all the help ladies and GL with your LOs!!! I cant wait to meet mine!
