  • Name: Rachel

    Due date: 7/18

Date placed on bedrest: home 31w5d, modified home 32w3d

Type of bedrest: modified bedrest at home-- I have now graduated to being able to sit up some & having "reprieve" for 1-2 hours a day if I need to do some very light housekeeping, etc.

Reason for bedrest: PTL @ 31w

QOTD: what has been a positive aspect of bedrest for you?

My DH & sister have been amazing!  They have both stepped up to the plate & done whatever needs to be done around the house, etc.  I am so grateful for them!

  • Name: Diane

    Due date: 8/13

Date placed on hospital bedrest: 21w4d 4/06/10, released to modified bedrest at home on 4/19/10.

    Type: modified bedrest at home

Why: incompetent cervix/3 cm dilated/emergency cerclage

QOTD: If the experience with my micropreemie in the NICU for 96 days was not enough, this experience with bed rest and making it to the third trimester has been very enlightening for me on many levels.  I am reminded how quickly my life turned on a dime, and I quickly figured out what my priorities are.  I am also very glad that I made a good choice for a DH.

Updates: I don't have much to report.  I will highly recommend Memory Foam for your bed if you have a crappy and lumpy mattress like I did.  That foam is amazing!  I could actually get some sleep without my back hurting.   And, 29 WEEKS!!!!  YEAH!!!!

Type of bedrest: bedrest at homeReason for bedrest: early signs of preeclampsia and high blood pressure
QOTD: what has been a positive aspect of bedrest for you?So far, that DH actually has a chance to put his daddy skills to the test.
