Does anyone have a recommendation or any experience with using a convertible carseat in a 2 door car? I have a Ford Mustang and am fearing the upgrade to a convertible seat. The infant seat is easy to get in and out, but I have no idea how I'll maneuver things if I'm not removing the carseat from the car to get him out. Will I have to crawl into the backseat on the opposite side each time and try to put him in the seat that way? Once its forward facing it won't be so bad...but with rear-facing I fear it will be a nightmare. HELP!

Re: Convertible Carseat & 2 Door Car?
I don't envy you! I was so glad that DH's car conked out before LO came because he had a 2 door car. I told him he could get whatever he wanted it just had to have 4 doors.

How long do you plan on using your infant sear. DH has a 2-door. We are in the process of swithching to a convertable this weekend. Right now he still has the carrier in his car. DS is really too heavy to carry in the seat but we have a Graco SN 32 so technically he still fits and he is over 13mos right now.
When we put the convertable in DH's car it will most likely be forward facing. DS is big enough and old enough but I don't really like it. I know FF at a year is not the worst thing ever. Its just not ideal for me. He will stay RF in my Santa Fe.
If you can keep DC in the infant seat until he is big/old enough to FF then the 2-door should not be too awful. GL.
