This board is slow today!

This is my dh's first week back at work and he's only had to work 8 hrs, but today and this whole weekend he's got to work 10hrs, so he won't be home for another 1.5 hours which is driving me crazy! So, I come on here to try and kill some time, and nothing new is being posted really. I guess I could do laundry or something...

That's how I feel all day long. DD mostly sleeps on me so here I sit with my netbook. How are you doing with DH back at work? I find it's a lot more boring! We had visitors and ran errands most of the week, but not today. When I tried going for a walk she woke up and screamed bloody murder so even that only lasted 20 mins!

I'm doing okay. I agree that its boring. I'm so glad he started back at only 8 hrs so he'd be home by 4. I tried getting out for a while every day too, sometimes more successfully than others, I'm always paranoid of him waking up and crying. I get such a cooped up feeling being stuck inside with ds all day long with no adult interaction. And when DH gets home, he's trying to get stuff done around the yard, so even when he's home he's busy. This 10 hour day thing sucks so bad, he won't get home till 6 so I'm feeling pretty lonely even though I got out today and visited w/a friend. I was really hoping he'd be off this weekend, but no luck. The money will be awesome though.

that reminds me... i need to fold a load of laundry. it's probably wrinkled now so i'll just turn the dryer back on!

10 hours is such a long time, I feel for you! I'm super paranoid about her crying in public, too. I try to go in the afternoon when she usually has her long nap, but she was wide awake during her usual sleepy time today. DH feels spoiled lately because when he gets home he takes the baby I do everything I can think of to be in other rooms. Lately I've taken a great liking to dishes and laundry which used to be DH's chores. There are a couple mom's groups around, I'm thinking about joining one. I can only make so many trips to the mall and Walmart in one week!

OOoh, that sounds good. I can't wait to drink again, I've been craving a margarita almost my entire pregnancy, but since I'm bf'ing I need to work on up'ing my supply more so I can pump/dump before I induldge. I'm thinkin I'll save it for after my 6 wk check up. A margarita and sex!

Yea, Dh usually takes ds for an hr at some point in the night so I can get a break and I usually do stuff around the house too. I can't just use that time and sit around to do nothing. I'm thinking of joining a mom group too, just to get out and have other interaction since the other stuff i'm doing isn't cutting it. I'm not going back to work, so its hard to adjust to the fact that this is how its going to be now for a while. I'll probably go back to work when he is a year old, which will be when I can take him out to do fun stuff..figures.

I second the sex! I'm two months pp but as soon as the bleeding stops AF shows up! It's a never ending cycle!

I have some Cherry Wheat in the fridge, I'm considering having one tonight before bed since LO gets pumped milk for her first night feeding. I can't believe it has been almost a year since I had a drink!
