Remind me which tri is best for dental work??

I'm due for a cleaning and need to reschedule it.  I can't remember whether it's 2nd tri or 3rd that's safest, only that I shouldn't do it in the first tri.  :-/

Re: Remind me which tri is best for dental work??

  • I had dental work done in the 3rd tri with my peri's approval. (I was 32 weeks I believe when I had it done.)

ETA: I could not lay flat when I went into the office. My dentist had to do his work standing up. LOL!!!

I went third tri for mine.  And, the hygenist was great about it b/c she had me lay somewhat on my side...rather than flat on my back.  You may want to do that when you go....the pressure from laying flat on the back for the hour long dentist appt. can be really uncomfortable!!

  • I am a dental assistant.  They say the best is 2nd or 3rd but usually easier in the 2nd on the mama due to laying back and breathing.

  • I had a filling done in the second trimester.
