Hi ladies. I'm gearing up for another IVF cycle. Although the last pregnancy was difficult physically, I loved every minute of it. The doc is talking about transferring 2 - 3 embryos, b/c of my age.
History:
41 years old, IVF# failed with 2 transferred and IVF #2 successfull with 2 transferred (single birth).
If you don't mind me asking, how many did you transfer and a how many little ones are you having?
Thanks Ladies

Re: For my fellow IVFers
3/3
The RE told me that there was a 3% chance of all of them sticking so we were quite surprised when they did. My first IVF we transferred 2 and it was a failure. The sucessful cycle was FET #1. We did assisted hatching and they were 5 day embies. 2 very good quality and one iffy quality. I'm 36, was 35 at the egg retreival.
I was 33 when I got pregnant with my daughter. We transfered 3 and ended up with one.
We did a FET with the leftover embryos from the cycle w/DD. We transferred 3 - it was a failed cycle.
This time I'm 35, we did a fresh cycle, transferred 3 embryos and ended up with twins.
IVF #1 - transferred 1, BFN
IVF#2 - transferred 2, pg with twins
good luck to you!!

First GL!!! I am 36 and this is my story.
1st IVF - transferred 3 really great quality embies but lining was at a 7 a few days before transfer = BFFN right before christmas
2nd FET - transferred 3 of ok quality and I am having twins. My lining was an 11 a few days before transfer.
I was also told the chances of having triplets was very low.
GL GL GL!!!
same for me.. I'm 37

38 years old, fresh transfer of 3 day 3 embryos of very good quality. Two stuck.
Lots of luck with your upcoming cycle!

I was told b/c of my egg quality I had a 20% chance of getting pregnant with one. I am 31 but have DOR.
IVF#1, age 36, 2 transferred, single birth
IVF#2, age 38, 1 transferred, failed
IVF#3, 2 transferred, twins expected
GL on your next round!
41 years old at time of egg retrieval. Open to selective reduction. History of recurrent miscarriage.
Fresh cycle - transferred 4, 1 stuck, but was trisomy 18 with fatal anomalies
Frozen cycle - transferred 5, pregnant with twins
Our clinic would not have transferred so many if we were not willing to have selective reduction.
IVF#1, age 32, 2 transferred, BFN
FET #1, age 32, 1 transferred, BFN
IVF#2, age 33, 2 transferred, expecting twins!
Good luck!!
IVF #1, 5dt with 2 embryos (2 blasts) - BFN
IVF #2, 3dt with 2 embryos - BFP but c/p
IVF #3, 5dt with 3 embryos (2 blasts, 1 morula) - BFP, twins
Aside from transferring an extra morula on IVF #3, the only difference between my cycle 1 & 3 was the clinic. I had exactly the same quality embryos (BA, BB) both times, which is why I opted to transfer 3.
GL!
Best of luck!
My story:
1 year of trying on our own-1 miscarriage at 11 1/2 weeks
Horror story with IUI....1 miscarriage then 1 etopic pregnancy with emergency surgery after 2 shots of methotextrate (spelling)
IVF #1 transferred 2...pregnant with 2!
Fresh IVF- day 3 transfer 3 grade A 8 cell embies, singleton (36 years old)
FET - transfered 2 unknown quality (best of the defrosted bunch), twins (38 years old)
all embies were from the same fresh cycle (I turned 36 on 8/26 and ER was 9/26)
IVF #1 - 32 years old, 17 eggs retrieved, 11 fertilized w/out ICSI, 5 made it to a 5 day transfer, 2 transferred, none frozen, 1 DS!!
IVF #2 - 34 years old, 17 eggs retrieved, 12 fertilized w/out ICSI, 6 made it to a 5 day transfer, 2 transferred, 2 frozen, pg with twins!
Good luck!
This was a FET cycle. We transferred 2 and both stuck.
ETA: Aside from this cycle, we've done 3 fresh cycles and 1 other FET.
IVF#1 - txfr'd 3 --> 1 blighted ovum
IVF#2 - txfr'd 1 --> chem pg.
IVF#3 - txfr'd 2 --> BFN
FET#1 - txfr'd 3 --> 1 blighted ovum
On our first IVF try: Transfered two at five days, having two. I'm 32.
Good luck to you!
i'm 37 (35 at time of IVFs)
1st ivf: 2 embryos, no pg
2nd ivf: 2 embryos, twins (had a protocol change and did antagonist protocol... which if i remember meant we added menopur earlier in the cycle - embies were slightly better quality)
i was considering transferring 3 at the 2nd cycle b/c i was so disappointed at BFN at cycle 1. our re thought that for us 3 embies would not increase the chance of pg, but would increase the chance of triplets. HTH, and good luck!
IVF #1: 2 transfered BFN
FET #1: 2 transfered.... Pregnant with triplets.... lost fraternal trip... Pregnant with identical twins
