He took his first steps at 11 months and didn't get the walking thing down until about a month afterwards.
Same thing for my DS!
Exactly the same. She could take 4-6 steps by 11 months, but waited until she had it absolutely perfect, then took off walking everywhere the same week she turned 1.
In terms of really walking, it was like a switch was flipped on for one DD at 1 year + 1 week and the other DD one week later (so 1 year + 2 weeks).

DD took her first step around 10.5 months, but didn't really get the hang of walking until about 12 months. I still worry about her walking too, she can get tired or lose her balance easily.

Took his first steps at 20 months old. We're still waiting for full-on walking. He's been through 2 open heart surgeries and 6 other surgeries, so I think walking at 20 months is spectacular!
Re: When did LO start walking?
Same thing for my DS!
She was walking at 10.5 months.
DS has been standing since 7 months. He has been taking up to 3 steps but I wouldn't call that walking yet.
first steps at 9 months, wobbly walking at 10-11 months. steady on his feet past 11 months. now 14 months and running away from me!

First steps around 9 months and walking full on by 10 months. At 1 year 1 week he runs around us like it is nothing.
