Probably a dumb BF ?

I pumped for tonight so I could have a couple of glasses of wine with my mom. It's her last weekend visiting us in Germany. Anyway, I was going to have a spicy doner for dinner (one of my faves), but I wasn't sure if the spicy would stay in my system for a long time or not? Would it be ok to eat it if I am not BF tonight?

    to be completely honest with u it might not effect the baby... i have eaten spicy foods, garlic and onions and my baby is the happiest baby! and i bf...

    I'm sure it would be fine.  You can BF if you aren't feeling the alcohol in your system anymore, too.  That way you don't have to "pump and dump" for a glass of wine (or 2).

    It all depends on your LO. I eat spicy food all the time and does not affect my DS.

    I eat spicy food all of the time and my DS is not affected by it at all.  You might want to give it a try to see if it affects him!  All babies are different.

    I'm not sure if you are pumping in advance because you are drinking or because you are going to be away from your LO.  You can drink a few glasses of wine spread over an evening without having to pump and dump.  Just drink a lot of water too.

    Eating spicy foods is actually a good thing! It gives your baby a taste of the different things to come. The broader your diet, the broader baby's palette becomes.

    I just pumped in case LO wants to eat while I still feel it in my system. I am only planning on having two glasses tops, but wanted to be covered just in case. It's my first time having any alcohol since he got here, so I am a little paranoid. hehehehe
