P90X

Anyone done it?  I'm about to start, but I would love to know what results people have had.

Re: P90X

  • I've heard that it is ROUGH but worth it. Like extremely intense:) My H and I were getting ready to start and now I'm pregnant so he is going to start without me:) GL!

  • I love it. I lost 15lbs doing it. It is amazing workout. I am a big wuss about working out and probably would have quite after the first day if it wasn't for DH pushing me. The hardest part for us is the time commitment. Most workout are 75-90 minutes 6 days a week. We both work full time and get up really early to start our day so we can have time with DS after work. So we wouldn't start working out until DS is in bed at 7 then would make and eat dinner after that and by that time we are ready for bed. So we really felt like we were on the run all the time. However the workout is amazing.

  • There was a very inspirational story on our local news the other night. A woman that was diagnosed with progressive MS and previously confined to a wheelchair is now able to stand on her own for periods of time and do things for herself and children again all due to P90X. Her husband was also extremely overweight and lost a lot of weight. It was a great story and definitely makes P90X sound awesome (also they had awesome arms!)

  • I tried to do it with DH, but I couldn't keep up. It was just too long and intense for me. I like running and 30 day shredding better. Good luck! I know it produces awesome results!
  • I started it recently.  There's info about it in my blog.

  • I've tried it. I prefer the Slim in Six series over P90X.

Ditto - I'm on day 24 and I LOVE it.  I haven't weighted myself yet, but my energy level is through the roof, I'm starting to see the definition in my arms and legs.  It's a time commitement for sure and usually I have to work out at night as well but after the first week or two, you're body gets used to it and you have the energy to do it.  I LOVE it.  My and my DH are doing it together actually.  G/L
