We're still TTC, but are really liking the name Morgan Ainsley for a potential daughter. However, I'm contemplating the spelling. "You are my sunshine" is our phrase/song that we use frequently, kind of like a supplementary "I love you." Morgen is German for morning. Since Sunshine and Morning go together, I like the spelling Morgen. However, I realize that isn't the more common and probably intuitive spelling. Would you go with Morgen for the meaning, or Morgan for the common spelling and just know what meaning the name itself has?

Re: Morgan or Morgen?
I like either, but I like the significance of Morgen.

Ditto. If Morgen meant sunshine or something I'd reconsider, but morning is a bit of a stretch IMO. Morgen will always be misspelled too.
Morgan. But if you want to go with a sunshine meaning why not do it for the middle name?
Morgan Helia (Greek for sun) sounds nice
You could even use Morgan Sunshine
