What sensitivity do you have it set at for your newborn? I had it set to 5 in the beginning, but realized other things in the room make it 'tic' so I turned it to 2, then 3 and we had a million false alarms last night! I set it to 4 and watched it w/o DD in the PnP and it only had other things set it off a few times, but mostly the alarm went off. Just wondering what everyone has theirs set at...I just feel like 4 is really high but 3 had too many false alarms.

Re: If you have an angelcare monitor...
The piece of wood made all the difference in the world for us with false alarms. I have it turned to 5 and it works perfectly now.
If you're not so handy, you can do what I did - walk into Home Depot and ask them to cut a piece of particleboard 50" by 26". That's the standard crib size. Cost me $8 and it was soooo worth it!
