So - tonight was my last night with just Haley, me and DH. While I can't wait to meet our new baby girl and Haley's little sister, I cried when I put Haley to bed. It's hard to imagine having enough room to love this new baby as much as I love my first baby, my Haley Bear. I'm so excited for her and our family, but sad too. Please tell me this is normal! It's killing me to be sad the night before I give birth to my 2nd daughter. I guess I don't really expect any responses, but thanks for listening anyway.
Re: Bittersweet
I haven't been through it, but I've heard a lot of people say the exact same thing.
Good luck tomorrow!
BFP #2 11/4/12 EDD 7/20/12 missed M/C 12/13/12 @8w5d D&C 12/21/12

They say the decision to have #2 is harder to make than the decision to have #1.
I was a wreck the day before DD was born too. Trust me though - you'll forget all about it as soon as you see the 2 of them together and the love in their eyes for each other.
ETA: GOOD LUCK!!!
It seems like it would be a perfectly normal emotion to have...you're mourning the loss of your "old" life as you knew it! I think a lot of people feel that way the night before their wedding for similar reasons, ya know?
I'm thinking about you today Melissa! GL!! Can't wait to see pictures!
I keep telling myself that although I'm going to rock DS's world by bringing #2 into it, I am also giving him the ultimate gift of someone else to love and to love him. He's getting a best friend for life! Not saying I sometimes feel like you do, because that's normal. Just saying what I tell myself to get through those feelings.
Good luck with everything these next couple of days! I'm sure you'll figure everything out, and in two months I'll be posting something similar, and you can tell me everything works out ok!!!
I've thought about what you're saying and I've heard it from other second and third-time moms as well. I think it's completely normal.
I wish you the best today with your induction! Hopefully all goes smoothly for you
