Anyone have any beach vacation suggestions?

I'm in desperate need of a vacation and would love to take Amarah to the beach. What's your favorite place to go?

For a kid-centered beach trip, I think Gulf Shores/Orange Beach would be fine. For more options for nightlife etc., I would suggest Destin/Ft. Walton area. I would be happy to suggest restaurants and things if you decide in the AL coast.

We always stay on Okaloosa Island, which is about 10 minutes outside of Destin. The beaches are much less crowded, and it is cheaper to stay there...but just as gorgeous! Another bonus is that almost all of the condo rentals come with beach service that includes to chairs and an umbrella each day that you are there. We usually use www.vrbo.com to book a unit, or www.emeraldcoastrentals.com. We have stayed in several different units at different places and always had a great experience. My favorite places have been Bella Riva and Pelican Isle. We want to stay at Waterscape now that it is open because it has a huge water play area and pools that would be great for DD.
