I am having a garage sale this weekend and realized how many things I thought I HAD TO HAVE when I was pregnant with DS were a total waste. There are things I never even used!! What did you have to have that was a total waste?
The Bumbo is one of the things in the garage sale pile!n DS never used it. I had to have the big fancy $400 stroller...I hate it! it is so heavy and bulky that all I use is my Mom's Graco!
breast pump. i should have waited to see if i needed one. i used it 3x to see how much i could get, but DH didn't have time to feed J a bottle, so we just EBF. waste of $300!
We never used the Angel Care monitor, which was a gift. Another friend purchased one for herself and gave me the receipt, so I was able to return mine, thank goodness.
breast pump. When DD wouldn't latch, I went out and bought an expensive breast pump. I could never keep up to her though and never found the time to pump since I was bottle feeding her all the time. Maybe I'll use it more with my next kid. I'm sure I only used it 10 -15 times before I totally dried up.
The Arm's Reach Co-sleeper. That thing was expensive and he would never sleep in it. Also, bottles. I washed them and got htem ready and he never would take them. What do I do with them now? Would people buy those?
our $400 worth of a crib and bedding. we co-sleep and have a bassinet next to the bed. at least it converts to a big boy bed.
and please dont sell your bumpo at your garage sale for $25-$30. i have seen so many lately like that. you might as well just go buy a brand new one! geesh.

That would be cheap in Canada. They are over $60 here.
Bumbo. Other than that, everything's gotten pretty good use. I do wish we would've gotten an convertible car seat from the beginning and a jogging stroller instead of a travel system.

that is nuts! and i totally spelled bumbo wrong! woops!
White noise machine, Moby (the Ergo is 1000x better), Diaper Genie and all the stupid refill cartridges, most of the clothes I over-bought, I really don't need 50+ washcloths, 20 or so blankets and all the bottles (we have a Drop-In set and Dr. Brown set), bedding set - especially the mobile and the Boppy (I loved the BrestFriend a lot more)
We got a $370 stroller which we keep tethered in the trunk of the car. It's too heavy and a b- to deal with, I've been using a snap n' go so far. My MIL gave us a video monitor. I didn't want one (we live in a 900sq ft single floor condo) she gave us one anyway, the thing was over $200.
Bumbo, burp cloths, bottle car warmer and the baby bath tubs (the big plastic ones you put in the tub) he would scream everytime I put him in it. He would have rather just laid on the baby sponge mat we had.
Re: What baby item was the biggest waste for you?
Diaper champ, sling, bumbo
Granted they were all gifts but DS never cared for them. I just couldnt take the champ anymore.
honestly, i cant think of any! i didnt have a shower (or registry) and we purchased as we went along.
the pnp had the shortest life span though, since we only used it as bassinet in the very beginning.
