NBR: Do we switch to a lighter weight blanket for your bed when it gets warmer out?

Our comforter is just too heavy now that the weather has gotten warner. Yes, we have the air on and a ceiling fan on, but to make our room the temp we would like would make DS room an igloo. I'm heading out to see if I can find a lightweight comforter/blanket/etc.... from BB&B later.

Just wanted to see if anyone else does this or maybe has a suggestion of where I could find a lighter weight comforter. Thanks!

  • Yes because during the winter we keep the thermostat at 62 at night, so it you need a blanket, we set it at 67 for the summer, that 5 degrees makes a big difference in our house.

We found some nice coverlets at Macys but went with Target since it was cheaper...

We never actually use the comforter, I hate how big and bulky it is.

We have a heavy fleecy blanket we use in the winter, and a kind of open weave blanket we use in the summer, although sometimes we dont' even use that, just a sheet.

The open weave one is similar to this:

That's what I'm looking for. Thanks for posting the link!

  • We have a down comforter for winter and a lightweight quilt for summer. Try Ross or Homegoods if you have one. They have good deals.
