I am a 34DD and have just about zee-ro breast tenderness, and didn't have it in my last pregnancy either. I read all about it from others and am like: are these things on?? Not that I'm complaining, just wondering if it's a size thing.
I started out as a 34C and I'm up to a 34D. With my previous pregnancy I was a 34DD by 6.5 wks. I never had tenderness though, just really bad nipple sensitivity and they were always hard. That seems to be the case again.
It's definitely exacerbated by the fact that I run. Those sports bras so no help!
from what I've heard from pregnant friends and my doc smaller breasted women tend toahve more soreness and hardness and general discomfort in the boobage than larger breasted women. one reason is they have alot more stuff pushing around in alot less space, kinda like how very petite women tend to feel alot more abdominal discomfort in pregnancy than a heavier gal migh. another seems to be.. well they're just not as used to boobs being an issue. i think larger breasted women are more used to things being mashed, bouncing uncontrolably, pulling and being heavy. I was a B cup in my first pregnancy so every bit of swelling i FELT and every bounce ached like the dickens, but after a miscarriage the girls didnt go away and i've been a very full CC. this time around my breasts could care less, though my nips are tender. I think it's because i've gotten used to all the extra boob issues. I woudl think second pregnancies would also be alot less of an issue since the structures of the ducts and everything is already there. Also smaller breasted women experience a more dramatic increase in size and weight of breast than larger breasted women. a small breasted woman might experience an increase of three or four cup sizes, often going from a small B to a full D by the time they're nursing while a D cup gal might only go up one size just get alot firmer.. it all depends on the tissue itself.?

try sports bras by Danskin.(my fav is style # W443052 not sure if you can still find it but their others are great too) they're GREAT they have molded cups, a strong thick but comfortable band, and a tri hooking racer back, they lock and load the girls!! I ride horses and dont feel a single bounce, I'm also a martial artist and I can run and jump and flip around all night and the girls dont fall on the floor when I take them off. They can be a little to get used to because the girls are held so snug to the chest, but they dont mash flat, they're actually very very flattering. you can find them on the website or they carry danskin gear at walmarts and any dance supply store.
I am inclined to agree with this. I am a 36D currently, down from last year when I was 30lbs heavier and was a 38D. I had lost a lot of volume from my weight loss and was a bit saggy. Now I am still fitting in my 36D's however it seems like the volume has returned. I know they'll likely get bigger, but I don't think i could handle 2-3 cup sizes!

Ok, I'm not going to say what I am, but trust me, it's huge. I have definitely had some tenderness. I wouldn't say it's a lot, but it's enough to make me uncomfortable at times.
I'm a 38 DD and my girls are killing me. I always get really sore right before menstration, but this is different my nips are definitely changing getting bigger I think and they are sore and sensitive and itchy. My overall breasts are definitely growing, I have not gotten a new bra yet, but probably should, and they are itchy as well, not really sore, but different!
I'm a 34DD and started to get some tenderness right around the 5.5-6 week mark and still have it now. It's mainly the nips that hurt though. The boobs are a little sore, but its the nips that can be painful. But I haven't really experienced the "fullness" or growth that other people talk about, but I'm assuming it's because I'm already so "full"!
Man I wish my boobs would grow more but then I'm greedy. I am currently wearing a 44 C which isn't my size but it's the only bra that's fitting. I am going through bra shopping today so I can get a smaller band size and I don't even know how big the cup will be. Anyway, I'm busty! My boobs are pretty darn sore and my nipples hurt like crazy and are constantly hard. Probably not like a woman with smaller breasts though.
Regards to a pp, the nipple sensation is due to the structures for breastfeeding developing? That makes sense but never thought about it before.
I'm a DD and I don't have much soreness. I started at a DD last time too and didn't feel any soreness. Just sensitive nips.
Yeah, I'm quoting myself. I checked my bra this morning and I'm a 36DDD. Guess I forgot that I didn't finish losing weight, hehe! And amen to whichever lady runs with giant boobs! Good for you!! I had a breast reduction and tried to run after that, but I still feel too big.
I'm not that "busty", a 30DD, but I figure a DD counts for something. OMG my boobs hurt. I feel much better with one of my very supportive and unattractive bras on, but my boobs are definitely getting bigger so I have a feeling I will be bra shopping soon (which totally blows- I have to buy really expensive bras to get my size- which I'm sure will be even harder to find once the cup size goes up)
Re: Busty ladies, your thoughts pls

I'm a 32D and I feel Nothing! I keep checking
My nipples are sorta itchy though, that's new
I am a 36DDD/E. I think I am so used to them hurting all the time that there isnt much of a difference now.
As far as running goes, I always wear two sports bras, they still bounce but with a lot less pain.
