You all know about my BFing issues - this week I went to see my doctor and she put me on domperidone. Today is day 4 of taking the drugs, and when I nursed the boys this morning, Will didn't need any formula after! Dash still got about 1oz, but he was on my bad side (supply is much lower on my left and I don't know why - it gets just as much action and I rotate the boys between breasts).
I know we can't keep this up all day because my supply takes a massive nosedive in the evenings, but this was the first time EVER that I didn't have to supplement after feeding!
Re: I did it!
Congratulations Mama! That's a good feeling! (I'm on domparidone as well and remember was a relief it was to be able to know I could feed her).
I found that the medication helped increase my supply in the evening after about a week so I hope the same happens for you!

Yay! Congrats.
I used to have much less out of my left, too. But now I end up pumping more from the left. Maybe your left will catch up.
This is good to know! Do you mind if I ask how long you've been on it? Are you weaning yourself off or is it a permanent thing?

I've been on it since Elyse was about 10 weeks. My supply significantly decreased and I hadn't been pumping so we had to suppliment with formula for a few feedings.
I was supposed to be on it for 8 weeks. My Doctor told me that my body would naturally keep up the supply once my prescription ran out, but it didn't. So I'm on it until I stop BFing.
I was on fenugreek as well, but I weaned myself off of that because I smelled like a celery stalk all the time.

YAY!!!
Yeah, I had supply issues earlier too. Not only did my milk come in late, it came in VERY SLOWLY. I was so sad when I tried to pump for 30 min and all I saw in the bottle afterward was a trickle, not even 1/4-way to the first measurable line. I had to supplement after feeding too and we just stopped a few days ago.
I have a bad side too (and it's visibly noticeable because one boob engorged way bigger than the other)! So what I did was nurse on the bad side (because I read that they're much more efficient than the pump) and while pumping the other side. I think it's working (although I haven't measured it to be sure) because they're around the same size now...
Doesn't feel so good to not have to supplement anymore?
Yay, happy for ya hon!!!
And yes, I had the same issue regarding my left breast. I call that one 'the lazy boob'. Haha.
