Quick little BIO on me... Got married February 21, 2010 and started TTC right away. Got my BFP on May 13!!

 

I am very excited to be expecting my first! I have wanted to be a mommy since I was 3 my mom tells me! My first doctors appointment in June 7. I should be 9w5d. My mom, sister and brother know, as well as DH.

I want to tell DH's family but we are worried... His mom isn't the most nurturing person or friendliest! We are both worried that she isn't going to be happy about this and let it be known!

It isn't a great way to feel!! I just want to be happy and tell EVERYONE that I am pregnant! Any advice on how to tell her??

    I would wait until 12 weeks to tell anyone else. A lot of us on this board have had miscarriages and would tell you to wait until you are done with the first trimester. As to how, I dunno, tell her in person and hope for the best! You are not the only one who has a mother or MIL who wasn't thrilled!
