I ask this, because when I had my IUI 3 yrs ago ( my 1st iui, which got me PG ) I KNEW I was pregnant, I just knew. I dont know if it was the cramping or just because it was the first aggressive move we'd done with IF stuff.
This time around ( IUI yesterday ) I'm crampy, which is fine, but I'm doubting, I dont feel 100% like THIS IS IT.
Did anyone feel this way but still come out w/a bfp?
Re: Who doubted they were PG?
Well...... at 1 day past IUI or the day OF ovulation I never felt pregnant!
I'm not really one for a gut feeling that something just HAS to work. I guess it's too many experiences when it didn't?
However... if you're referring to not having symptoms?
I ignored them with Jace but could see them in retrospect. I thought I'd felt implantation but was trying hard not to get back on the crazy roller coaster of "am I" when I didn't really think we could do it without meds. DH made me test when I felt hung over for 2 days after just 2 glasses of wine.
With pregnancy #4 (would have been DC #3 - first attempt) I had ZERO clue. I mean NADA. No symptoms. Nothing.
My period was late. I wanted it over with before Dylan's birthday party and before my Mom came into town and experience had shown that the fastest way to get AF was to POAS so I did. You could have knocked me over with a feather when those 2 lines came up.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
I didn't have any symptoms except that I started to show signs of OHSS that got increasingly worse from 2dp5dt to 5dp5dt. My nurse told me that even though I was miserable, it was a good sign that I wasn't getting better because HCG aggravates OHSS.
That said, I really didn't feel pregnant, just bloated and sick.
Good luck!
I was 100% sure I was pregnant after my first IUI. Like 90% sure after my second, 75% after my 3rd and like 25% sure after my 4th.
I was 100% sure I was pregnant after my 1st IVF and like 10% sure I was pregnant after my 2nd IVF. But that was the one that worked.
IVF #1: ER 03/29/10; ET 04/01/10: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 (9dp3dt)- 45; Beta #2 (11dp3dt)- 91= BFP
FET#1: ET 04/18/12: transferred 4 embies; Beta #1: >2 = BFN
IVF #2: ER 06/20/12; ET 6/25/12: transferred 2 embies; Beta #1 on 7/5/12= BFN
8/16: hysteroscopy for polyp removal
11/11: hysteroscopy #2 for yet another polyp removal
FET#2: ET 12/15/12: transferred 3 embies; Beta #1 (9dp5dt): 12/24/12: 426; Beta #2 (11dp5dt): 845= BFP
u/s 1/9= triplets!; miscarried all three on 1/10/13...
me!! i was bleeding and cramping and I hadn't even ovulated that month according to my CBEFM....when full on heavy bleeding didn't happen...i decided, wtf, might as well use up this ridiculous joke test my sister had given me (she's a gerentologist and one of her patients won it at bingo...it was one of hte weird ones that you needed a dropper for). So when a super super super faint line came up, i didn't believe it...and then looked up the test batch and it was a batch known for false positives...
but since it was the first line i had ever seen....i decided to pee on another stick i had around later that night just so that I could kill that tiny glimmer of hope I had...and got another super faint line!!
Ditto!
I completely KNEW with DD.
This time my symptoms started later, plus with DOR I expected that I'd have a much better shot any following cycle; I had a polyp removed what became my BFP cycle and thus I couldn't be on any O-inducing meds, just trigger and booster only. Not to mention that I had had 2 c/ps in the previous 3 months, so despite some pg vibes, I didn't want to count my chickens. It's my little Christmas miracle.
It's been 5+ weeks since my beta and I'm still more stunned than I was when I got my beta with DD! If it weren't for somewhat severe m/s I'd all but be in denial since it doesn't feel completely real...and I just had an u/s today.
FINGERS CROSSED big time for you!!!
