Well the baby can range from 6-10lbs, water is another 4lbs, placenta 2lbs. My mom swears that she lost 18lbs after delivering. She looked for a scale in the hospital and weighed herself after delivering.
I'm up 47 lbs. I weigh myself only to keep my weight in check and not go crazy. I gained a ton of weight in 2nd tri and have majorly slowed it down the past couple months.
There's really no way to know how much your baby weighs, unless you've had a growth ultrasound, which aren't always accurate. Not really sure about the placenta and everything. I've heard of people coming out of the hospital weighing 20 lbs less than they did though.
No and I dread getting on the scale at the doctor's office. I'm up 52 lbs but I'm retaining so much water my doc swears I'll be down 40 lbs after the first month. I hope he's right...
Wow, if this is true, I might come home weighing less than when I started. I've gained 20-22 lbs depending on the week. Good thing since I'm in a wedding 3 weeks after my due date.
Re: 39 wkers: still weighing yourself? :)
I have stopped weighing myself months ago.
