Diaper size question

My DH bought a huge box of diapers online and we have some left that are getting too small for DS. The past few nights, if he has any poop it comes up and out the back. I tried the size up (size 2) just now and I think they fit better. DS weighs 13lbs 11 oz, so he is at the big end of the size 1s and the small end of size 2s.

DH thinks we should keep using the size 1s during the day. What do you think?

And if we stop using them, what should I do with them? Donate them to the daycare?

Dx: PCOS and short luteal phase

    DS just moved up to size 4 but we had a bunch of size 3's that I wanted to finish so I just kept using them.  If I was worried about a blowout I would put him in the larger diaper.  At daycare they will change the diapers pretty often so you could probably do ok sending them there.

     If you wanted to donate them I know that would be nice too.

    If it's just a few I would just them around the house just in case of an accident. If a lot then I would see if the daycare would take them if you have that option or give them to a friend with a smaller baby.

    i'd stick to the bigger size, as you never know when you'll have a big leak on your hands.

    we've given our extras to friends or donated them to our pediatrician's office. i got caught with a messy diaper and had left the diaper bag in the car and he was out of dd's size - no one should have to be that embarassed ever!

    Move up a size!  I tried to shove C into the 2's for a week and it paid me back by him crapping on an outift or 2 daily.  I finally caved and went up.

    What sucked was that I had almost a full box left!  I passed them on to KellynKyle since Cooper flew past Eileen.

    I guess you could donate them to daycare.  I know mine keeps some on hand in the event someone runs out.

    Which reminds me...I was supposed to take more this morning!
