  • My total out of pocket will be $3000, which is my deductible through BCBS.

I have the Anthem Blue Cross HMO and have a $10 copay with each doctor visit.  The delivery, regardless of type, and hospital stay for both me and baby are covered.  So total it will just be a little over $100 in copays.  And that is how I was able to afford the doula!

  • Not sure of the actual amount, as I've yet to deliver obviously but I will pay ded of $400 plus 10% of the other charges (ob, anesthesist, etc.)
  • Prenatal/Postnatal care is covered 100%. Delivery/Nursery Care is covered 75%. The maximum out-of-pocket cost to us assuming everything goes smoothly is $1,750. If one or both babies need to stay longer than MY discharge date then our claim becomes 'family' and our maximum out-of-pocket would go up to $3,500. We have BCBS PPO.

  • I have BCBS TRS Activecare 2.  I paid $432 to the Dr. office for all my care through delivery and post-partum.  I have to pay  $1392 to the hospital my maximum out of pocket is $2000 and I still have to pay my deductible which is included in the hospital total.

I have Kaiser, my out of pocket is $750 regardless of vaginal or c-section.  I used to have the plan it sounds like you have (patient pays 20%) but I switched to the richer plan during open enrollment since I knew I would be giving birth this year and would rather have an exact dollar amount than wonder what the grand total would be.  Love that all pre-natal care was $0 (except when I had to pay the specialist co-pay of $30 when I had my growth ultrasound).

Same for me too.  750!  Not bad reallly.

  • I have Tricare Standard, so I will have a small OOP payment, somewhere around $50.  I think I have to pay the costs of the meals or something silly like that.  Everything else is $0.

  • Mine is excellent.  I paid a one time $15 copay for all prenatal visits.  When I'm admitted to L&D I pay $100 copay and nothing more.  Not bad.   It doesn't matter what kind of delivery or complications that could arise.

  • I also have Kaiser through DH's work and this whole pregnancy all I had to pay was $10 for my initial pregnancy confirmation and everything else is covered. We pay nothing for the delivery.
  • Through Aetna and $0.  No premiums/deductibles/copay/OOP.

    :happy dance:
