PSA: nursing tanks with tummy control!

I know I am always raving about Glamourmom nursing tanks for their bewb support. Well, I just got an email from them that they now have a new line with tummy support, too. I know they are spendy but I am wearing the same tanks for M that I did for T and I wore them inbetween both pregnancies too. Sadly, I am too close to the end to invest in any more (I literally have 10+) but I sure wish they had come out with these sooner!

Re: PSA: nursing tanks with tummy control!

  • Awesome!  I have a Yummy Tummy tank that I would wear more often, but it's impossible to pump/nurse in.

  • Loading the player...
  • Do you have the regular length or the longer cut or both?  If both, which do you prefer?? I am short, and short waisted on top of all that - just wondering! Might have to get one or two of these.
  • I personally have 2 short and 1 long.  I would never have bought the short if I had bought the long first.

On another note, the chick in the brown tank holding the baby nursing cracks me up.  Um, it never looked that easy when I nursed!!  Maybe it was because I always had a huge kid...

You crack me up, I never notice how people are holding babies in ads. I nursed Amelia this way for the first 2 months, I walked around cooking/doing laundry/etc.  I pray this kid is that little so I can do it.

  • Thanks V, I'm going to have to check them out!

I could never do that either. I always had to sit though.

  • i would definitely buy the long. since being pregnant, i can't stand anything that hits right at my waist. i like everything to hit my hips. the long on me goes all the way to the bottom of my hips but i really like that for under sun dressses and stuff. it's almost like a slip. when i wear pants/skirts i just gather it a little at the hips.

the GM tanks i wear the most are the transition. i'm not even sure what they are called now but they are kind of like maternity tanks. they're just a little aline and longer than normal but not as long as the long... i doubt those come in tummy control but they were my fave (and when i say a line they were still pretty fitted).

anyway, long story short- buy the long!

Where do you buy them locally (WW?)?  I'd like to try them on and see what size fits the best.  Also, when did you buy them, after your milk leveled off?

Yes, WW has a large selection, altho I don't know if they have this new tummy control style. You get a discount the 1st time you order from their website, tho, and they have deals on things like "color of the month."

you don't really have to wait b/c they're not by cup size. i bought a couple XL for right after mathis was born, but they were too big to wear under clothing. they were more for hanging out around the house. i've always worn L otherwise and it's been fine, no matter the state of bewbage.

Awesome!  I was HUGE with Amelia (H-G) for a while and when that finally tapered down I had to replace all of my stuff.  If I can buy a few decent tanks that will last longer I'll be so excited.  As always thanks for the info!

  • I bought my 3 on Babysteals.  You have to be quick, but they usually run $20.  I bought off the wall colors (red, pink) because I don't really care to "layer" my clothes but I will wear a loose shirt and nurse so you can slightly see it.

2 are XL and one is a L.

  • I LOVE Glamourmom tanks and yes, I have the tummy control! I love this piece, it makes complete and total sense.  The tank does come LONG, I assume this is done so you can get a nice complete tummy coverage, after all it is called tummy control.  The inner panel stops around the lower belly then its remaining length is made of cotton allowing you to wear the tank long.

The clasps are really easy to use, it's has a wider band so with a memory filler.  The thing I love most about it is that they actually support your lower back when you nurse the baby.  They say its more of a support mechanism vs. just a straight shapewear.

Anyways, I absolutely love it since it slims down my new mummy tummy!
