water water water

I'm sure anyone who's been to their Doc has heard it DRINK LOTS OF WATER. but when they say it they MEAN IT! drinkign water has the following important benefits for we mommies tobe

-we're making lots of extra blood, that requires lots of extra water

-we have to make all that amniotic fluid out of something too!

-our hormones are kinda working against us making us pee every hour! so we have to replace what we pee out and THEN SOME

-we're also salivating more, replace that too

-that's right sweating more too!! replace some more!!

-most women are dehydrated BEFORE pregnancy so it's going to feel like you're constantly drinking, so drink even when you're not at all thirsty

-dry skin is a common symptom water keeps skin glowing

-hard stool, constipation and gas, our digestive systems are going to be slowing down ALOT drinking more water keeps things moving

-nose bleeds, when the lining of the nsoe gets dry all the extra blood erupts, in the season of AC the air is going to be alot drier for alot of us.?

-we're pregnant in summer! dehydration leads to fainting spells

-headaches, dehydration is a major cause of headaches

-cravings, dehydrated women have more cravings even when they're not pregnant so keeping hydrated eases cravings, not to mention our bodies often confuse the sensation of hunger with dehydration so when you feel like you're starving you may be super thirsty, drinking water before grabbing the icecream can help keep off unwanted excess weight gain.?

-mucus membranes, all our mucus membranes are going to be on over drive, that's why noses get so gooped up and down theres get wetter. if you drink lots of water nasal pressure reduces and mucus is clear and loose rather than thick and gummy.

when you're not drinking it try taking a swim in it! water is a great pregnancy workout, and an awsome place to stretch and take the weight off backsand hips and legs. but avoid the hot tubs, the excess heat leads to dehydration, fainting and improper blood flow.?

summer is also a good time to try cooler showers, the hot water leads to even more dry itchy skin and bellies will be plenty dry and itchy without the hot water robbing skin of moisture so try a refreshing cool cleanse.

water water water is so important in pregnancy that I thought I'd give it it's own thread. we drink the water, we have out water break, we can even birth in water (wish I could but high risk means no :( ) our bodies are mostly water on a planet of mostly water.. so never leave home without it :) i wonder if I can find a cute pregnancy themed water bottle? if not i'm gonna design one and make a mint!! LOL
