When to tell the grandparents?

This is our first and it was unexpected. Our first Dr. appt. isn't until June 8th, but my husband wants to tell our parents over dinner this weekend. How long has everyone else waited to tell parents?

I told my mom and dad right away- well right when I saw them. I waited a week and a half after I found out to tell them face to face but had I seen them the day of- I'd have told them! My DH told his parents right after I told mine and it spread like wildfire from there

Ours was also unexpected, we told my parents right away, we waited until this last weekend to tell his parents, because we knew they couldn't keep a secret and didn't want to tell them until we were ready for the world to know, my first appointment is today.

Tell when you feel comfortable telling. I told my mom right after I got my BFP.

We told our parents pretty much right away. Both of our immediate families know what a difficult journey this has been for us, and so I want everyone's support, and t&p right from the very beginning.

I have only told my mom who then told my dad. They are the only people who know so far. We are being smart this time around. Last time I told my mom and dad right away and they didn't tell a soul. We waited a week to tell DH's parents,who within fifteen minutes told about ten of their friends when we asked them NOT to. Unfortunately they had to then untell everyone. This time around I think we'll tell them around 14 wks. Lol. My advice - tell when u are comfortable with everyone else knowing.

We are telling immediate family (parents and siblings) this weekend (Memorial day). I will be around 7 1/2 wks. DH wanted to wait till father's day (almost 12 wks)! I told him no way as I work in my family's business with my mom, dad, and brother and I didn't think I could hide m/s and other symptoms that long! I am already having trouble hiding it (m/s during the day is a pain!). Oh, and my first "real" appt is not until June 7th (I went in to pee in a cup and get blood work).

We are telling our parents and siblings on Friday (I'll be 6w3d).We want to have their support in case anything happens. We are waiting to tell everyone else after 12 weeks. We are going on a beach trip on Friday with my DH family so we are telling them (parents, brothers & SIL) then. It's my FIL birthday so we ordered a cake that says "Happy B-day Grandpa, see you soon!" and we bought him a Grandpa 2011 shirt. We are telling my parents over the phone since they are out of the country.
