definitely Elise Sophia.
JIC you missed the comments in my previous post - it is a girl! I tried editing the post to include the sex, but I'm not sure that it worked.
Anywho, we're definitely set on the first name. However, I'm open to suggestions for another middle name. Of course, we couldn't keep the name to ourselves and have already received comments stating that the middle name and the last name rhyme. It only rhymes on the last syllable which isn't a perfect rhyme anyway. I think it gives the full name a melodic quality, but... UGH! People and their opinions!
Just for some options, what would you suggest as a middle name for Elise?

I wish I had suggestion for your middle name but I don't know what the "rules" are since we don't do middle names (DH and I don't have middle names and neither do our siblings or kid). One suggestion I do have is to forget about what everybody else says. If you like Elise Sophie leave it like that. Who cares if it rhymes or it doesn't rhyme! As long as your DH and you like it, that is all that matters!
Thanks, ladies! You're right! I'm going to keep it the way it is. We both love it and it's a name that we've had picked out since before we were even TTC. It was totally meant to be!
Both names have a lot of meaning to us. The origin and meaning of both names are also very special to us. I even remember having a music box when I was a little girl that played, "Fur Elise," and I've loved the name since then. Wouldn't it be amazing if I could find that little music box again?!

I really don't know! Some people think that she will be made fun of, but we don't really use middle names in this country anyway. I don't have a middle name, but it's been an issue when there's someone else with the same name. So, I just wanted to make sure that she has a middle name in case she ever bumps into a classmate with the same name. We'll mostly call her by her first name anyway and kids will make fun of ANYTHING! It doesn't matter what the name is, they can get pretty creative, lol.

Little girls are so fun. I think the name is great and I think it sounds fine with your last name. Very few people are ever going to say her entire name together out loud, so I really don't think it matters.
On another note, on my birthday about a month before Emma was due, my dad really wanted to get me a music box that played "Thank Heaven For Little Girls." My mom ended up finding a website that makes personalized music boxes where you can pick which box you want and what tune you want it to play and even personalize it with a little plaque. Anyway, I can get the info for you if you're interested and want to order one for Elise
