I am 5w2d and my brother and sister in law are having their second child in 2 weeks.  I wanted to wait till my fist appointment to tell anyone, though this puts us one week after they have my new niece, we would be anouncing we are pregnant with our first.  I want to be sensitive to my sister in law (who would care more than my brother) and make sure I don't take from their excitment but I don't know how long I can wait!  Should I tell them before or should I wait longer?  Also how should I tell?  Everyone will be here to see their new little one and staying at my house, how will I keep it a secret?

Re: When and how would you tell?
I agree do it when you think it was best.
After a couple of weeks i'm sure you'll eb fien to tell. but if you want to be extra suer not to offend sit down and have a quiet moment with the new mommy and tell her first, sort of a sisterhood secret. maybe you could even get them in on telling everyone else.. like get their baby a little onesie that says "I've got a playmate on the way" or just get her blessing to share your great news and let her know you're not wanting to steal her thunder, just get your own booms in aswell. your miracle is no less significant than hers, and i'm sure your family will have plenty of excitement to go around
my dad and step mom just adopted a baby (long iritating story LOL) so I got my new lil sis a shirt that says "world's cutest Aunt" to put on her at our family pool party memorial day. ?a good way to include her and not over shadow them, but share my joy too!
