How long does it take for you to get your results?

I was really frustrated because I wasn't able to get results on Friday for the b/w from Thursday and had to wait the whole weekend. I went for my second draw yesterday, so do you think it is realistic to expect that they should have those results today? I don't know if it's just something that varies from dr to dr or depending on what lab you go to, but I'm just curious about what others' experiences have been. I'm so impatient! All this waiting is killing me!!!

My doctor usually sends them to a lab so it takes 24 hours. But, a few times she's put a rush on them and I get same day results. It does seem weird that you didn't get your Thursday results on Friday. I hope you get some results today!

I usually am able to get mine the next day, however just last week I had bloodwork drawn on Thursday and the results weren't in until yesterday.

I had them drawn through the lab of my RE's office...so usually the early afternoon of the morning I had it drawn.

I had beta # 1 done on Thursday afternoon and was able to get the results Friday morning. I had beta #2 drawn last night and my doc told me to call him Wednesday morning...I know it's not that long, but it feels like forever!!

I know exactly what you mean about the waiting frustration. I went through the same thing. It all depends on your doc and their process.

My doc sends bloodwork to a lab, so there's a 24-hour turnaround. The nurse makes all results calls at 10 a.m. each morning, so if I go in by 10 a.m. on a Thursday, they call with the results at 10 a.m. on Friday.

If I go in after 10 a.m. on Thursday, they get the results 24 hours later (on Friday) but don't call with them until Monday. I've learned, though, that if I call instead of waiting for them to call me, they can give me my results a bit earlier.

I know it's hard, but I hope the waiting game doesn't get you down. : )

Mine are always sent STAT so I get them within a few hours.

I get mine done at a local hospital and I ask to pick them up in a few hours. I call ahead to make sure they're done and I pick them up within usually 6 hours of the blood being drawn.
