Did you get an ultrasound at your first appointment? They don't want to see me until 8 weeks and I'm wondering what will go on at that appointment, besides history, blood work etc...

with my 1st i didn't (I only had 1 at 20wks). with my 2nd i did (and lots more too, due to some issues).

Bummer. I'm 38 and was hoping to get some reassurance with seeing a heartbeat at least...and also to make sure there's only 1 in there. LOL

I did with both my kids...and I go to Womens's first as well. They don't do it at your first appointment but they will schedule it for soon after...like as soon as the next day depending on their schedule. At your first apt you will jsut go over your due date and meds any questions etc...CONGRATS and good luck!

I go to Women First. I had a little bit of spoting a few days before my 8 week appointment so they said I could get an ultrasound done if I wanted to ease my mind, but I was probably fine. I opted for it. I also opted for the first trimester screening, which involves an extensive ultrasound session and bloodwork around 12 weeks at Maternal Fetal Medicine. Just had my 20 week appointment 2 weeks ago (it's a BOY, yay!)

My first appointment is on June 7th, and I asked about getting an ultrasound. They told me that we don't get one until a later appointment. First visit is bloodwork and pelvic exam.
