Am I to much of a planner?

So I am just shy of my second trimester, but I want to have names picked out before we know what we are having.  We have 10 weeks to do that at this point.  When I was pregnant with our first child it took forever to agree on anything and the only reason we finally did agree was because I bugged him so much he gave in.  I don't want to do that again.  This is our last child because we agreed on two so I want us to do it together.  It seems though that every name I put in front of him he says a right away no, but he isn't willing to put any out there either.  Is anyone else going through the same thing?  If you are, how are you dealing with it?  I don't want to drive him crazy!

    It seems to me that if you're having conflict about it, it might actually make sense to wait until you know the sex.  Divides the conflict in half.

    Are you too much of a planner?  Yes.

    Ditto pp.  Just wait until you know the sex, then go from there.  Building hostility around it isn't worth it.

    Yeah I can see that.  I know that DH is stressed since we are also in the process of buying a house.  I just feel like it is the one thing that I have control over right now.  I will try to focus on something else...more productive like packing.

    Start making a list of names you like and tell your hubby to add to it if there is anything he likes.  Don't discuss it now, just start building the list now and then discuss later.

    Coming from someone who didn't pick a name till 38wks, I'd say, yes, you're a total planner ;)

    I am a total planner but so is my husband so I guess that makes this one a little easier.  When we were discussing when to start trying and I had baby on the brain 24/7 we constantly went over names that we liked.  We are down to 1 each which was easier than I thought.  We also have a little side bet going on for the sex, whoever wins gets to pick the babymoon destination.  Good luck, I think that being married to your best friend you shouldn't worry about talking to each other and it turning into a fight.  He might be a little stressed, so the side list is a good idea.
