Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Just noticed the 6-9 board... Thoughts?

What do you guys think since we are here and will soon be there? It looks like the others are having a hard time with the change. ( look at 9-12 board)

Seems how there is 0-3, 3-6 it only makes common since to have it 6-9 9-12.... but what do i know??

Im not sure why is was not like this before, although the 6-12 was kinda cool.  Embarrassed

What do you guys think?

Aside from the post below: not about them over there..... what do YOU a 0-3 person think?

Re: Just noticed the 6-9 board... Thoughts?

  • I didn't even read a post about them splitting it or asking about splitting it.  I just assumed at some point they would since they split 0-6.  I don't really lurk over there but if it is slow; it seems to me like they should just stick to 6-12.

  • I don't really care either way. As long as there are boards that are age specific who cares. I missed the post where a 6-9 board was suggested.

  • Won't this cause those boards to be pretty slow as there isnt as much going on as when you have a newbie?

  • It is so effing frustrating. A bunch of us have been trying to get the bump to make a board for parents with children dealing with food allergies for YEARS. they create a bajillion boards but can't make one that plenty of people have shown an interest for? We've emailed ?TB like they asked showing the need for the board and nothing.

    SO FRUSTRATING.

  • I'm a little bummed, but whatever. Maybe I'll catch up with my friends on 12-24... Unless they split that too.

  • seems to be mixed reviews.  I thought it was a good idea, just because it seems like that should be the next board, but a lot of the 6-12 monthers are complaining about it...I haven't even lurked on those boards yet, so I guess I really can't voice an opinion until I do..

Thats true, it seems as the kiddos get older, the less time we get to spend here, so it may drag things down a bit huh?

  • In a week, everyone will forget about them being 6-12 at one point.  It is what it is.
  • It doesn't bother me, I hop around the different boards...pretty much sums up why LO is 7.5 months old and I'm commenting in 3-6.  If something strikes my fancy, I'll throw my 2 cents in.

Oh that is a good board! What the heck! I did not know that it was a request????

hummm... thats funny. we do NEED some boards more than others, like allergies all together!

I didn't care either. I mean, there's a huge gap between 6-12 months. But whatevs. I got flamed for thinking that they are be too dramatic over there.

This is an honest question, no snark.  Do you not feel included or comfortable on special needs?  I would hope they would include you guys over there...but I've never lurked, so I don't know.

  • I actually think it's a great idea. As someone mentioned the other day, there is a huge difference between posting about your child sitting up unassisted for the first time to posting about your child walking and first birthday parties. 6-12 just seemed like too large of a gap.
  • I'm a little upset because a lot of my fav peeps are 2-3 months behind me. So we won't be together until all of our LOs turn a year. I don't know if it is supported through a baby's milestones though. But what can you do? I'll probably be making it my home board next week.

This is kinda what i was thinking to. I just want people who have kids ABOUT  (even 1 year different is ok by me!!) the same age that i can ask questions to, and have conversations with!

    who cares.

i think the ppl that are most upset about it are the 6-12ers that are 6, 7 and 8 months...bc they have basically been demoted!!

  • I think the split is good.  There are a lot of differences in a 6 month old and a 12 month old.  I like the idea of them being lumped by 3 months.

I think that was my post.  I was honestly curious why they were split the way they were.  I never thought they'd actually split them.  I was really questioning how to fit in in my new soon to be home with all the talk of the birthday parties.  I'm not ready to think about that yet.  (hands over ears) LA LA LA LA LA!

I agree with this. I noticed that people upset with the change said that we were going to regret it when no one could answer our questions. People with older LOs lurk all the time. I post on 0-3 sometimes, especially about stuff that I've survived (like reflux).

I just don't feel like food allergies fit in over there.

Find a dead board and take it over.  :-)  A few years ago some girls started posting Twilight stuff in some dead Nest board and the Nest got the picture and started a Twilight board.

  • I am 100% ambivalent. Also, I don't understand the whole "there will be no one to answer questions" argument. The age gap on other boards is only 3 months, but somehow questions seem to be answered...
